Around the turn of the century there was a mill located here. Marlow Falls is absolutely spectacular & a magical sight, and can be viewed as you drive to the new Marina at Rowena. (If you want to stop and take photos, you will have to be careful, there is not a side to the road to pull over.) As you are driving on this lovely road, be sure to notice the magnificent waterfall that is along the highway. Closest address is 5370 East Highway 619, Jamestown,KY. ![]() You can see 76 Falls from a variety of vantage points.īig Lily Creek Waterfall (Hwy 619) – 36° 59.404′ W 085° 02.636′. If you decide to see it by car, there is adequate parking, maintained trails and gorgeous bridges as well as a lovely picnic area. N 36☄6.700′ W 085° 07.587′ Whether you are viewing 76 Falls from the lake view or by land, this is a lovely and very large waterfall. The Mill Springs Mill area has about 13 different waterfalls that converge and flow into Lake Cumberland.ħ6 Falls – 1749 Seventy Six Falls Road, Albany, KY. Mill Springs Mill Waterfalls – N 36.9342 W 84.7785 (land coordinates). Norman Creek is also known as Normans Hollow (A sign at the mouth on the left bank reads “Normans Creek.” The banks in this cove are steep and rocky and ends in forks to the left and right. Jock Falls – N 36° 48′ 48.0″ W 84★3′ 04.5″ – This lovely waterfall is past Twyford Point in what appears to be a creek – undetermined water depth. Someone also recently used the address of 2171 Twyford Point Road, Monticello to reach the waterfall by water, which might be more accurate. ![]() Twyford Point – N 36° 8304′ W 84° 9385′ – There is a lovely waterfall located in the Twyford Point area of Lake Cumberland – I believe these are the coordinates. *Before Lake Cumberland was created, Bell’s Mill was located here. The banks near the waterfall are short ledges with trees close to the water. Sid Bell Falls – N 36° 48.460′ W 085° 01.636′ – Handcock Creek ends here in a 5′ waterfall. There have been fatalities and many neck and spinal injuries as a result of hitting the water from the top of the falls. *Think twice before jumping off the top of this waterfall (even if you see other people doing it). Little Louisville Waterfall – N 36° 57.800 W 085° 02.461′ħ6 Falls – N 36° 46.807′ W 085° 07.551′ – 76 Falls is the largest waterfall on Lake Cumberland at 37′ tall at the lake elevation of 723′. This smaller waterfall is located across from a boat platform. This is a smaller waterfall before you get to the “Little Louisville” waterfall. Two waterfalls can be found in this area. To be safe, only access this area by canoe, kayak or small watercraft – Check the water depth! There are two lovely waterfalls on the other side of the bridge. You could reach this waterfall by kayak or canoe when the water is way up, at other times I believe you can wade to it. Greasy Creek Joby Falls – This is a rather large waterfall that is just past the brand new 127 bypass bridge. ![]() Be sure to use a depth finder if you have one! Be sure to go slow and stay on the rock wall side, which is the deepest part. This is a small waterfall on the way to the bridge. Greasy Creek Waterfall (The Big One) – N 36★7.638′ W 85☀4.713′ This lovely waterfall is 4 levels. Many waterfalls are best seen after a heavy rain. One thing that everyone agrees on is that Lake Cumberland is one of the most beautiful lakes in Kentucky – featuring gorgeous rocky cliffs, crystal clear water and of course… spectacular waterfalls!
